There simply isn't a better place for sushi on the island. The food is top notch and sure, there are other sushi places with good food, but it goes much deeper than that at Yuiki's. It always has. Yuki, Noriko and the staff are so friendly that it feels like they invited you for dinner at their home. The sushi is made with care, beautifully presented and delicious. Nothing on the menu is a throw away. Everything is made with the freshest ingredients and prepared perfectly. Go to Yuki's and sit at the sushi bar. Enjoy great sushi and conversation with Yuki, Noriko or their family as they provide a meal and experience you will remember.

The number of times I've come here, it's so pleasant to see how much pride the owners take in this restaurant. The food and decor are authentic, the ambiance is mellow, and the staff is friendly. The food does take a considerably long time to come to the table sometimes, but is always just as ordered. Very fresh and yummy. Always glad to give them my money.

One of my favorite sushi places ever. Family owned and operated, the environment is warm and welcoming, classy and tasteful. And that's before the food...which is fresh and excellent. Yuki is always creating new rolls, menu items, and the specials change regularly to reflect the seasons and other special events/times. They even have a wonderful kids menu and are so gracious and welcoming and accommodating to children of all ages. As regulars we feel like part of the family and are treated as such.

Very good place. Service is really good, staff is very friendly. Food is also delish. I like the soup pot, but be carefull it is sooo hot it needs to cool down at the table. Sushi is also first quality. Easy parking in back and nice atmosphere. Easy to get a table too.

Yukis is amazing! No matter what you get, everything is fresh and delicious! My personal favorites are the shrimp and asparagus, seaweed salad, and their spicy crunchy tuna. Not to mention their monthly specials! Such a must. And if you like one month's special so much you can still order it even if it's not on the menu. The staff there is awesome as well. Super friendly, great service, and all around great attitudes! If you want great sushi and a great all-around experience, Yukis is your place!

As a Japanese who has been living in New York for a long time, I have to say that this restaurant is no doubt one of the best in Long Island, serving fresh Sushi and other fine cousins all the time. Staff there is extremely friendly. The restraint also has Tatami box seats that you can totally relax while dining. The place is perfect for family, too!

My favorite Japanese restaurant. Been a fan for many years, starting with the original Jukis palette in Wesbury and continuing to the second incarnation in Merrick .

So I'm trying to eat healthier...it's hard to choose a tasty light item, right? Well... LOVED: 1. The tuna sashimi roll! No rice, just tuna, cucumber, lettuce and avocado in a rice wrapper! Perfect! 2. The seafood miso soup! Miso soup with shrimp, salmon, shitake mushrooms, and veggies...just very tasty! As always, the green tea compliments the meal...it did not stop...great service! Will be back soon! Nice eatery close to home!

What's good: The seaweed salad was great. The customer service was great. The Bad: I ordered takeout and the presentation was ugly for the price I paid. I order from other local sushi restaurants and it is the first time I get everything in Styrofoam. Very tacky. Now I ordered what I thought volcano roll and it was not good. Definitely not fresh. In addition, I ordered a plain tuna roll and it was again not fresh. I have always ordered takeout from Sushi places and this is the first time the sushi tasted and looked unpleasant. I hope you read my review and upgrade your takeout containers to make it presentable and make sure your seafood is fresh as well as rice not so mushy. I did not enjoy eating tonight as my stomach felt like I'd swallowed a rock and burped the horrible taste of what I'd eaten.

Awesome sushi. Eaten many times and never a complaint. Service is great...they do takeout....intimate location. Parking is a challenge so you may have to walk a couple of blocks.

No question about it, Yuki's is THE best sushi restaurant my family and I have been to. Each roll is delicious and expertly prepared, and the staff is so friendly and accommodating that even if the food sucked, we'd still frequent the place!!

Forget about the big name, outrageously priced Sushi Bars on Long Island...last night I rediscovered the talent of Yuki San at Yuki's Palette in Merrick. Yuki, Noriko and daughter Ami give the family feel to a very comfortable establishment. I am a sushi sensei, and let me tell you that the fish here is second to none. The sushi and sashimi melt in your mouth. We enjoyed ourselves imbibing on the hot saki and ordering copious quantities of the freshest, best prepared sushi I can remember having in a long time. Go, you will appreciate this recommendation!

Delicious! Fish was very fresh. Creative roll combinations. Although staff was attentive, some food they brought out was not what we ordered, but was quickly corrected. Atmosphere could be more inviting. Decor was 1 step above a takeout place. Add a cold Sake with your meal and it's all good.

I don't understand why this place gets such high marks and great reviews. I was actually very disappointed after trying this place over the weekend. The place is cozy with friendly staff, I'll give you that. Our waiter was super friendly and it was nice to be able to converse with him in our native tongue. I also saw that the proprietor of this establishment is actually Japanese, which was a plus in my book until I tasted the food. What happened here? Who the hell is cooking back in the kitchen? Gyoza was undercooked...the gyoga wrapper/skin was doughy and mushy and not cooked on both sides like it should have been. Tako yaki was FRIED. Seriously? FRIED??? And it was so obvious that they fried a frozon tako yaki. I also noticed that they don't really take pride in presentation. Our shumai were served upside on the plate and just scattered about. The only appetizer that was decent was the age tofu, but then again, you can't really go wrong with that. I can't speak for my Mom's dish, but she did mention that her rice was very mushy and not cooked correctly. My sushi was sub-par at best. Not the freshest fish I've had. I ordered the sushi deluxe and I couldn't understand what was so "deluxe" about my suhi. Couple of tuna pieces, salmon pieces, shrimp pieces - basically the cheapest pieces of sushi to put on any plate. No ikura, no uni, no ika or tamago or anything...I had to order an extra piece of amaebi, because my "deluxe" sushi dinner was NOT SO DELUXE after all. The worst was my BF's Oyakodon. Who is teaching their kitchen staff to cook at this place? Few pieces of unappetizing looking chicken mixed with egg over a bowl of rice...no color, no flavor, just bland. I honestly felt so bad for him that I kept on asking him if he wants to send it back. I've never seen oyakodon made with no soy sause and no onion (which equates to no flavor). The egg was watered down scrambled egg that looked absolutely horrible. I can make it 100 times better than what we actually paid for at this place. My BF was too nice not to send it back. My mom and I were really crossing our fingers and hoping that we've found a nice Japanese restaurant catered to the tastes of Japanese customers, but we struck out this time. Yuki's Palette just doesn't work for our palette. So sad.
